it looks like temporary employment isn't going out of style anytime
soon, and for job seekers looking for flexibility or to gain new work
skills, that's a good thing.
Nearly 3 million people are employed in temporary jobs today, and a new study
from CareerBuilder and Economic Specialists Intl. shows that number
will continue to rise in 2015 and beyond. Temporary employment is
expected to grow 3 percent from 2014 to 2015 and 13 percent from 2014 to
2019.
According to Eric Gilpin, president of vertical sales, CareerBuilder, 2
in 5 U.S. employers expect to hire temporary or contract workers this
year, opening doors for workers who want to build relationships with
different organizations and explore their career options.
