These occupations rank lowest for job satisfaction

Earlier in the month, AOL Jobs wrote about the 10 happiest jobs in America, based on analysis by job site CareerBliss on data from tens of thousands of user reviews. Reviewers ranked their job satisfaction on seven different factors: the boss, coworkers, support, rewards, growth opportunities, corporate culture, and the nature of daily work. CareerBliss put together the top ten positions for satisfaction, making them the official happiest jobs.

Any time you rank jobs to find the top, you've also created the list of the ones that come in at the bottom. In this case, CareerBliss also put together the list of the 10 unhappiest jobs in the country. The site tossed outlying positions and looked only at job titles with at least 20 reviews. Here are the ten winners - uh, losers ... oh, whatever - ranked from least unhappy to most.

• Truck driver
• Merchandiser
• Technical support agent
• Legal assistant
• Research analyst
• Retail clerk
• Dispatcher
• Sales
• Security guard

Think of what you might have gone through in any of these jobs - or maybe what you've seen people in such positions put through - and you can see why they'd end up on the unhappiest list.

The list wasn't completely the same last year. For example, machine operator and accountant made the cut while legal assistant and dispatcher didn't. But the least happy was, yes, a security officer. What comfort to know that some things never change.
