7 Low-Stress, Flexible Jobs Ideal for Working Parents

 Juggling parenthood and work responsibilities is difficult no matter what, but in the best-case scenario, your job allows for flexibility and is low-stress enough that you can prioritize your family outside of work hours.

Because flexibility is a priority for many parents, it's no surprise that many would prefer to work at a job that can be done remotely, at least part of the time. A recent survey conducted by FlexJobs found that 61% of parents want to work remotely full time and 37% prefer a hybrid work arrangement. Fortunately, there are a growing number of jobs that can be done remotely -- and several of them are considered to be "low-stress" based on the U.S. Department of Labor's O*Net "stress tolerance" rating.

FlexJobs compiled a list of jobs that are lower stress, have a bright outlook and offer remote work options, ideal for working parents -- and these were the lowest-stress jobs on the ranking.

  • Median salary: $87,660

Business intelligence analysts use data analytics, data visualization and data modeling techniques to identify trends that can help departments, managers and executives make business decisions to improve processes in an organization, usually with the goal of saving the company money or increasing profits. The job requires a mix of IT, communication and problem-solving skills.
